Thanks for getting in touch - my Cafe Manager has passed this on - please find answers below in blue!
Hope this helps :)
What percentage of hot drinks sold is takeaway?
Approx. 39%
On average, how many reusable cups do people bring through to your cafe in a day?
15 - 20
Do you like/dislike when people bring reusable cups in and why?
Yes - the more the better. We have a 20c extra cost for Takeaway coffee that is waived if you bring your own cup. Even though our cups and lids are compostable, it only works if every single one goes into a compost bin, often this is not the case and so, ultimately, BYO cup is the BEST option.
Do you give a discount or reward for when people bring reusable cups?
Yes - 20c Takeaway fee is waived.
Is there a particular type of user who brings in these reusable cups?
It's a pretty even spread - old and young, male and female.
Do you currently sell reusable cups at your cafe? Are they branded to your business?
We retail Fran Green reusable cups - they are not branded as Peoples.
Do you think a collapsible travel mug would get more people using reusable cups?
Honestly - I have no idea. The main reason people don't use reusable cups more is that they forget them, they leave them at home, in their car, in their other bag. I don't think making them collapsable will make them any easier to remember.
Would your business be interested in this product or even selling this product in store?
Possibly. It would depend on aesthetic and how well it performs.
Hope this helps :)
